Let me introduce myself. My name is Laura Leuzzi and I am an art historian and curator. I am the Post Doc Research Assistant on the AHRC funded research project ‘EWVA – European Women’s Video Art in the 70s and 80s’ (Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee). From 2011 to 2014 I was Research Fellow on the AHRC funded research project ‘REWINDItalia Video Art in Italy in the 70s and 80s’.
I completed my PhD in Contemporary Art History at Sapienza Università di Roma in 2011.
I am author of articles and essays in books and exhibition catalogues and my research is particularly focused on the relationship between words and image in visual art, video art and new media.
I co-edited with Stephen Partridge the book REWINDItalia Early Video Art in Italy (New Barnet: John Libbey Publishing, 2015).
